Work with new input

Head over to “Potions.” Find a list that someone has made. This will be the source material, the jumping-off-point for what you make next. Now, you will transform your collaborator’s list into a new creation / translate the list into a new medium.

Choose a medium, for a 1-3 minute creation:

• Dialogue

• Drawing

• Dance/movement piece

• Improvised monologue (filmed as you invent it)

• Poem

• Song

• Film/video or photo series

• Ceremony

• Found text collage / found poetry

• Interview

Let your creation include:

• Softness and sharpness

• Repetition

• Memory or prediction

• At least one of the following: darkness, music/sound, silence, surprise

• What is the need, hunger that is calling from your list? Let that drive your creation.

Put your phone on Do Not Disturb. Give yourself one hour. Make a thing.

Give it a title. Choose a way to document it. Share that documentation here (I hope!).
