Weird Lists: for those feeling angry
A note about this page: this project is meant to provide a space for folks to find new moments of creation that, hopefully, meet them where they're at. A space to use and process anger in creation feels necessary (particularly now, in June 2020). As a white cis woman, I welcome being called in if any part of this effort is ill-informed or needs adjustment. Please know that I stand with my Black community members, and am doing the work to become a more effective accomplice in anti-racism through self-education, listening, and action. Black Lives Matter.
Instructions.
This is an invitation to a very simple act of creation. The result can stand as a work of art on its own, and it can also serve as a source text to spark expanding creations (see the Cauldron for more on that).
We'll call this act "Weird Lists." These will not be linear, ordinary task or shopping lists. They are a chance to start something expansive in a short amount of time.
Choose one of the list-titles below. Let interest and impulse guide you--what draws you in, in this moment?
Take out a piece of paper and a pen. Write your list-title at the top of the paper. Set a timer for seven minutes.
Start the timer. Write.
When the timer goes off, put your pen down. Take three deep breaths. Read your list aloud. If you want, take a photo of it and share it here to be posted on the @sharedritualsacrossspacetime Instagram, and the Potions page. If you want, use it as a springboard for further creation in the Cauldron.

Other notes, for those seeking further clarity: you can think of this as a free-writing prompt, or a poem, or literally a list of items / thoughts / concepts. Be driven by what the list title evokes for you. Change the title if it's not quite right. Break any of the rules that don't suit you.
